Operation Shattered Stars Peer Support values the concepts of Brotherhood and Sisterhood in which Police Officers have supported one another. This includes understanding that we have a duty to all Police Officers equally, active or retired, and that we are all deserving of genuine support by our peers in a time of need, no matter the need. The peer support team training class is conducted over a period of two consecutive eight hour days and is limited to 30 participants.
At the conclusion of this training, participants will be a voluntary member of the Operation Shattered Stars Peer Support Team. Participants will have learned how to give confidential, appropriate, and supportive assistance to an active or retired Officer. In order to attend this class you must be an active or retired Police Officer in “good standing” and willing to immediately provide peer support services.
